Wagon-driver Lola Morse took up the identity of The Whip after her father's mine was stolen from them by outlaws.
History
Ever since she was a young girl, Lola Morse had honed her skills with a whip from driving ore wagons. Over the years, she grew to be an expert with the weapon.
Her father, Tom Morse, owned the Silver Queen Mine in the American Old West until Jess Berger ran him and his daughter out with a forged bill of sale. Attempts to involve local law enforcement proved ineffective since even the sheriff was in Berger's pocket. Lola and her father took refuge at Mart Benson's ranch. However, she would not sit by and do nothing. Taking inspiration from the legends of The Whip, aka Johnny Lash, she made up an imitation costume to go after Berger herself and steal back her family's gold.
A staged coach robbery went somewhat off course due to the original Whip riding along inside with Berger. Johnny Lash confronted Lola and the two Whip's dueled. Lash pulled Lola from her horse and unmasked her, shocked to find he was being impersonated by a woman. She confessed to her plans to reclaim her father's mine and asked for Lash's help.
At Benson's ranch, Lash put together a plan to lure Berger from the Silver Queen Mine so Lola, her father, and Benson could seize the mine. Lola once more displayed her prowess with a whip in the ensuing battle at the mine, impressing even Lash. After obtaining the forged bill of sale and defeating Berger, they turned the mine back over to the Morse family.[1]
Lash bid them goodbye and went to set off across the Old West once more. However, Lola had once last gift for Lash, using her whip to pull him into a kiss. For the first time since he started his crusade against outlaws on a journey from Missouri,[2] Lash admitted that he might return one day to Lola.[1]
