Loops McCann src

Trouble-prone fliers Loops McCann and Banks Barrows served together in the Pacific Theater during World War II. Together they were known as Loops & Banks.

During the Second World War, Capt. Loops McCann, U.S.M.A.C. and his sidekick Lieut. Banks Barrows, U.S.M.A.C. fought the forces of Imperial Japan in the Pacific Theater. McCann's hot temper and peculiar sense of humor made his career a tumultuous one. He and Barrows bickered constantly, were both chronic discipline problems, and appeared to loathe one another, but in a dozen different dicey situations, they could coordinate, cooperate, and cover for one another, almost perfectly.

Abilities

Weaknesses

  • McCann's partner Banks Barrows finds Loops to be quarrelsome; McCann rejects this opinion.

  • This version of Loops McCann, including all history and corresponding appearances, was erased from existence following the collapse of the original Multiverse in the 1985–86 Crisis on Infinite Earths event and later restored following the rebirth of the infinite Multiverse during the Dark Crisis of 2022-2023. Even though other versions of the character may have appeared, this information does not apply to those versions.
  • Loops McCann dished out some serious damage in his day, but he took some lumps too. He has survived at least four crash landinga,[2] and has been shot down at least twice,[3] got at least one bullet wound,[4] fallen down a flight of stairs,[5] and accumulated at least two concussions.[6]
