Luca Falcone was the cautious and weak younger brother of Carmine Falcone. After the deaths of his brother and his nephew, Alberto, he took control of the Falcone Crime Family during the gang war in Gotham City between the Falcone and Maroni families.
History
Childhood
Luca and his older brother Carmine were sons of one of two Sicilian brothers who came to Gotham at some point prior to 1959. In Gothan, his father and uncle had multiple affairs which resulted in numerous offspring, Carmine and Luca among them.
Mafia career and family life
Reaching adulthood, Carmine and Luca would pursue a career in the criminal underworld, eventually forming their own crime family. Carmine became boss of the Family, while Luca served as one of his caporegimes.
Throughout his life Luca was married three times, his third wife being a young woman named Tina whom he met in Portugal.
Betraying his niece
In 2012, Luca and Tina, who was still only his fiancée, attended Carmine's birthday party, where Luca revealed that he had a vasectomy, however during the party Carmine was alerted by one of his employees, Oz Cobb, that his daughter, Sofia had been talking to the press about the murders of some women who worked at the 44 Below. When Carmine discovered this, he sent his Sofia home, but he arranged for William Kenzie, a cop on the Family payroll, to arrest her. Afterwards, Carmine, had their whole family, including Luca, write false affidavits that Sofia showed signs of mental illness after the death of her mother, Isabella.

- Cowardice : Although he wielded all the power of the Falcone Family, and he wasn't afraid to take lives, Luca was overly cautious, and this was seen as a weakness by many.

- This version of the character is exclusive to the continuity of the Batman Saga and is an adaptation of Luca Falcone. The original character was created by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo and first appeared in Batman (Volume 2) #22.
