Lucille "Lulu" Schultz was a fortune hunter who called herself, and repeatedly insisted on being called, Signora Lola Lasagne.
History
Schultz drew the name "Lola Lasagne" from her short-lived marriage to Luigi Lasagne, whom Oswald Cobblepot, "the Penguin," called a "playboy" even though he (Luigi) was a rather old man. Signor Lasagne, she complained, had not only dumped her from the marriage after accusing her of gold-digging but also convinced the judge to leave her only one property - her filly "Parasol."
Schultz had first known Oswald Cobblepot when both were children, years before he first assumed the alias of "The Penguin." Learning that the prize money in a horse race called "The Bruce Wayne Handicap" was bound for charity, Lulu aka Lola, who had entered Parasol in that particular horse race in what proved to be a vain attempt to win the prize money for herself, joined forces with the Penguin in a scheme to fix the race. This involved entering a ringer for Parasol along with the real Parasol.[1][2]
