Martha Wayne (née Dean), Anglicized from Ma-Sha Dean, was the wife of Thomas Wayne and mother of Bruce Wayne until her death.

History

Ma-Sha Dean was born into the richest family in Hong Kong, alongside her brother, Alfred Dean Pennyworth, and was considered the most beautiful woman in the city. At some point, she came to America and married Thomas Wayne. She used her family's fortune to establish Wayne Enterprises, and they had a son, Bruce.

However, tragedy struck when the family went to see Madame Butterfly. When they arrived home, they found the manor had been broken into by criminals, who murdered Martha and her husband, leaving Bruce an orphan.
