Machiste is a powerful warrior native to Skartaris. He is the closest friend and ally to Warlord. Warlord is responsible for rescuing him from slavery, and helping him become King of Kiro. His right hand has been replaced with a mace, as it was severed in combat. Mariah Romanova is his lover.
Machiste was created by Mike Grell, first appearing in Warlord #2 (1976).
