Atom is like you. A reboot gone wrong. A stray dissonant note. She saw the structure holding up space-time and something inside her snapped. But her course was set an infinitely long time ago. 
Madame Atom was a foe of Eternity Girl. At some point, Atom learned of the multiverse's constant reiterations, changes, and alterations, and sought to put an end to it.
