The Magic Crystal of History is a magical crystal ball that allows people to witness major historical events.
History
The origin and true purpose of the Magic Crystal of History are unknown. In the 1930s, this artifact was found in an abandoned house by two children, Bobby and Binks, while sheltering from a storm. The Magic Crystal then transported them to ancient Egypt.[1]
After the children's adventures in Egypt, the crystal brought them back to their native era, and began showing Bobby and Binks the past, rather than transporting them there.[2]
Powers
- Time Travel: The Magic Crystal can transport people to the past. It seems to have a will of its own, and will choose the destination by itself, with a seeming predilection for significant historical events.[1]
- Universal Translator: The Magic Crystal can translate languages, allowing its time travelers to understand and be understood by the people in the past.[3]
- Retrocognition: The Magic Crystal can show people visions of the past. It apparently can choose the vision from the past by itself, with a seeming predilection for significant historical events.[2]
Notes
- It is not known whether this artifact can think for itself, but it has never spoken directly to Bobby or Binks. It is not known whether it was artificially created, or is part of the natural universe. It is not known whether it acts autonomously, or is controlled from a distance, or even from a different time.
