Major Lilywhite is the former fiance of Liv Moore.

He worked as a counselor to Helton Shelter working with troubled teenagers. When many of his teenagers disappeared, he went to the Seattle Police Department, but they did nothing. He went to the press - with help of Rebecca Hinton, he got a front page. It did not sit well with the police. Major conducted his own research, centered about a pusher named the Candyman. After breaking into the dealer's car, Major was arrested and lost his job at the shelter.

Major was hounded by Candyman, and even attacked in his own home. Even though he shot Candyman thrice, the zombie dealer disappeared. Detective Babineaux tried to investigate, but in the end, Major concluded he must have been going crazy. He checked himself into a mental hospital for a couple of months, where he met Scott E, a pusher who claimed the cause of all of this was zombies. Scott wounded up being killed by a jilted lover, and Major left the institute.

Now more determined than ever, Major continued his investigation. He investigated Candyman and his apparent base, the Meat Cute Charcuterie. He was careless about it, and eventually Candyman caught him and brought him to his boss, Blaine DeBeers. In a violent breakout, Major killed most of Blaine's men, before Blaine infected Major with his zombie blood. Liv, who had been working on a cure, decided not to save herself, but instead split the cure between Blaine and Major. As Blaine's zombie Lt. Suzuki later arrived and blew up the deli in a desperate suicide, Major got away with the murders.

Uneasy of being lied to by Liv, but at the same time relieved to know about her strange behavior, Major set out to make a new living. As he had been working out extensively for his zombie killing quest, he became a fitness coach and personal trainer. However, as many of his clients were wealthy, he felt an unease - his hairs would stand on end. He learned this was a side effect of the cure, and he could now detect zombies. Max Rager boss Vaughn Du Clark hired him to become a zombie killer, giving him a list of 200 suspected zombies. With Du Clark's aide Gilda (who had become Liv's housemate to keep an eye on her), he killed many. However, he was ever wary - Babineaux suspected him on the Meat Cute shootout, and the FBI was brought in to investigate the disappearance of many wealthy citizens.

In the mean time, Major rekindled his relationship with Liv, though they were still careful about potentially infecting him. However, this time, he was the one keeping secrets from her.

Powers

  • Zombie Physiology: Zombies are mutated after being infected with a tainted batch of Utopium. The general bodily features - pale skin and hair, a lust for brains and only one heart beat per six seconds - has led to the infected to be referred to as "Zombies".[1]
  • Enhanced Senses (Formerly): As a side effect of being cured, Major could sense other zombies; his hairs would stand on end if they are near. This power wore off when the cure ran out.

Abilities

Weaknesses

  • Hunger for Brains: If Zombies do not eat brains, they become dumb, loses her humanity, and may die.[3] At a certain point, this state becomes inreversible, at which point a Zombie is said to be "Full Romero".[6]
  • Restricted Taste: Zombies lose most of their sense of taste, only being able to detect it when it was extra spicy. As such, zombies regularly spiked their food and drink with hot sauce.[3]
