General Mako was an Atlantean military leader during Arthur Curry's first reign as King of Atlantis.

History

General Mako developed a secret plan to place Atlantean sleeper agents on the surface to retaliate in case of an attack on Atlantis. These agents had their memories wiped, were given false identities as human civilians and were even biologically modified to allow them to survive on the surface indefinitely. They would live normal lives on the surface until activated by a signal sent from a hidden broadcast station.

Mako placed the sleepers on the surface without informing the king, but eventually told Arthur what he had done. Arthur was horrified and ordered the plan shut down, however, many sleepers remained on the surface. It is unknown what happened to General Mako after this, or if he is still alive.
