Doctor Malcolm Long was a criminal psychoanalyst at Sing Sing Prison in New York City in 1985. Once a cheerful, optimistic, and somewhat greedy man, he became more pessimistic, nihilistic, and depressed when treating the disastrously far gone Rorschach. He began fighting with his wife, Gloria Long, after this, and was killed along with her in the 11/2 attack. Malcolm Long was created by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons, first appearing in Watchmen #6.
