On New Year's Eve in Gotham City, DJ Mallory Duncan featured Karter B with "Return of the Hornblower" at an event whose main attraction would be a public appearance of the Justice Guild. However, the members of the Justice Guild were dominated by Starrla the Star Conqueress, leading to the gathering of their sidekicks to defeat the evil space starfish and the formation of the Teen Justice.
