Synopsis for "Manhunted, Part 4: Skin Deep"
Cameron acts fast by going to Dylan and asking for his help. Dylan had put a tracking device in Kate's bo staff in case of emergencies. Cameron also asks Dylan to hack into the DEO database because she feels her superior Agent Wayne is holding back on certain particulars pertaining to the Manhunter murders. Dylan gets past the DEO firewall and finds a few interesting tidbits. The first Manhunter Dan Richards managed to recover the Spear of Destiny from Hitler then the government chose him to be a part of a new program that would enhance his abilities. The government had discovered a Manhunter android craft that crash landed on Earth. They attempted to adapt alien tech as a pre-nanotech program that could enhance Richards. The program never took with Richards but Richards did use the tech to design his four legged friend Thor.
The 2nd Manhunter Paul Kirk was a big game hunter and the nanotech program worked for Kirk. Kirk joined the JSA until he was brainwashed by a terrorist group called the Council and they made clones of him. Kirk died destroying the Council and his clones. The 3rd Manhunter was Mark Shaw. The government created a false backstory for Shaw so he could be controlled. However, this fail safe caused Shaw's psyche to break into three personalities. The other two were Dumas and the Privateer. The fourth Manhunter Chase Lawler was a failed musician/ addict. The government tricked him by giving him a hypodermic with the Manhunter nanites. The same psychological side effect that Shaw suffered happened to Lawler. In his case, his constant tormentor was called the Wild Huntsman.
Dylan then notices an alert of an overriding program from something called OMAC. Chase panics and shoots Dylan's laptop before their location can be tracked. The OMAC project activates its sleeper agent...Harold Wayne. The OMAC project uses Dylan's tracking device to locate Kate Spencer and Mark Shaw.
Across town, Ramsey is watching Spongebob when a breaking news report about the incident at the precinct is released. Ramsey calls to his dad in tears about his mother being kidnapped. Kate wakes up tied to a chair in the Hollywood Hills. Shaw demands to know how Kate came to have the same bo staff that he used when he was the Manhunter. Kate uses her strength to break free of her foot restraints and kicks Shaw in the face. Kate springs from the chair and tries to go for bo staff but Shaw throws a dagger into her hand which pins her against a wall. Shaw asks Kate again on how she managed to get a hold of the bo staff. Kate activates a blinding light from her gauntlet that stuns Shaw. Shaw starts going in and out of his mind. At one point, he tells Kate to get away then the next he tries to gut her with his blades. Kate and Shaw continue their bout until the Wayne OMAC crashes the party.
