Synopsis for "Parenthood"
Kate sleeps off her encounter with Copperhead and has a dream about saving Batman from some of his greatest rogues. In her dream, she impales Joker with a spear and empties her guns into Two-Face, Mr. Zsasz, Scarecrow, Poison Ivy and Killer Croc. She frees Batman but Batman slaps her. Batman tells Kate "What makes you think that you are a hero when you kill without regard. You are no better than the villains you slay." Kate then wakes up from her dream. Kate heads to her office but forgets that she has the weekend with her son Ramsey. Kate's ex-husband Peter drops off Ramsey but asks to speak with Kate in the hall way. Peter threatens Kate that if she continues to show a lack of interest in their son then he will file for full custody of Ramsey. Kate dares Peter to try since she is a prized federal prosecutor and friends with every judge in family court. Kate then ends the argument by belittling Peter's modest adoration for his novels. Kate takes Ramsey to Mel's Restaurant where she meets Dylan Battles, a well known inventor/ flunkie who has worked with several super villains. Dylan is hiding out in LA and working as a waiter. After leaving Mel's, Kate takes Ramsey home. Kate tells Ramsey to watch a movie while she takes a shower. Ramsey fumbles through his mom's living room and finds her electric bo staff. Kate finishes her shower and looks for Ramsey. When Kate sees Ramsey with the bo staff, she tells Ramsey to put it down but he doesn't listen and he accidentally activates the electric stun feature on the bo staff. Ramsey is electrified and falls to the floor unconscious.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the country, Carl Sands aka Shadow-Thief is arguing with his shadow inducing suit which seems to have a mind of its own. Carl is laying low at the Last Resort bar in St. Roch, Louisiana. Carl then hears the tragic news about Copperhead and is filled with rage. Copperhead and Carl were as thick as thieves during their time with the Secret Society of Super Villains. Carl intends to exact revenge on Copperhead's behalf. Carl uses his shadow inducing suit to transport from St. Roch to LA County's Coroner Office. Shadow-Thief takes a few of Copperhead's venomous fangs and intends to use them on Manhunter when he finds them.
