Professional History

Margot Robbie is a widely celebrated Australian actress and producer, known for her acting versatility in performances in blockbusters and independent films. She first gained recognition for her role in The Wolf of Wall Street, and gained further prominence for her acclaimed performance as Harley Quinn in the DC Studios film Suicide Squad, often considered the best part of the critically maligned film.

Robbie went on to give acclaimed performances as Tonya Harding in I, Tonya, Queen Elizabeth I in Mary Queen of Scots, Sharon Tate in Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood, and Kayla Pospisil in Bombshell. In 2020, she reprised the role of Harley Quinn in Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), which she also produced. The film was a box office failure but received generally positive reviews from critics.

The next year, she played Harley again in James Gunn's The Suicide Squad, which was released simultaneously in theaters and on Max due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The movie was a massive critical hit and was the most-streamed DC Extended Universe film on Max, and particular praise was once again directed towards Robbie's performance. Gunn went on record calling her his favorite actor he's ever worked with.[1] It is unclear if or when she will return as Harley.

Robbie went on to appear in the critically acclaimed films Babylon and Barbie, and through her production company, LuckyChap Entertainment, she has produced several notable films, including the aforementioned I, Tonya and Barbie, Promising Young Woman, and Saltburn.
