- You are my, umbrella boy, remember? You rubbed my feet, when they were tired. And now look at you. The terror of Gotham! Everything I've done in my life, possibly the best thing was turning Oswald Cobblepot into...The Penguin.

Maria Mercedes "Fish" Mooney used to be a high level boss in the Falcone Crime Family, controlling many nightclubs in the Theater District aided by her trusty lieutenant Butch Gilzean and Oswald Cobblepot.
History
She always had her sights on more, and worked hard to topple Carmine Falcone. She schemed with Nikolai and Liza to take over his seat, but was eventually betrayed by Cobblepot. Forced to flee, she wound up as a prisoner on an island clinic owned by Doctor Dulmacher due to pirates taking over the vessel she was escaping on. After becoming the leader of the prisoners, Mooney started causing trouble and forced a meeting with the doctor whom she started working for while formulating a secret plan to escape the island. Once she escaped the island, she found her way back to Gotham in time for the gang wars and its conclusion. At the end, she fought against Cobblepot in an epic struggle on top of a bridge after both of them were shot by a brain washed Gilzean where Cobblepot came out on top and killed Mooney by throwing her off the bridge. Her body was recovered by Hugo Strange and revived.
