Marie Logan was the mother of Beast Boy.
History
She was a doctor on a jungle expedition when her son Garfield contracted a rare disease called Sakutia. Using an untested serum to heal her child, she accidentally gave him the super-power to transform into any animal. During a flash flood she and her husband died in a boating accident. Garfield Logan would go on to become a super-hero as part of the Doom Patrol and Teen Titans.

- Although this character was originally introduced during DC's Earth-One era of publication, their existence following the events of the 1985–86 limited series Crisis on Infinite Earths remains intact. However, some elements of the character's Pre-Crisis history may have been altered or removed for Post-Crisis New Earth continuity, and should be considered apocryphal.
