The Maritorn are a race of far-trawling plunderers in the Oceanid dimension, galactic pirates that roam space and steal the water belonging to other planets.

History

Their own homeworld is entirely depleted of water. They possess spaceships that absorb massive quantities of ocean at a time using matter hooks, kidnapping anything inside. The fleet was destroyed when Aquaman coordinated a counter-strike against them using the Oceanids and boosting his powers with the help of Naiad. Together alongside A.J. and Mera he was able to defeat their leader Lord Nemo in single combat, then return to his home dimension.[1][2]
