Marj is the mother of Mercury, a psychic ally to John Constantine.
History
Marj and Mercury once belonged to a hippie convoy when they first met Constantine. Marj and Constantine became lovers for a time before the convoy fell apart and everybody went their separate ways. Though Marj attempted to reconnect with modern society, she found she couldn't and instead went to an asylum to live.

- Mental Disorder: Marj, as her daughter describes, just isn't meant for modern society. She just can't connect with it like everyone else and instead lives in an asylum.
Notes
- Marj was created by Jamie Delano and Richard Piers Rayner, first appearing in Hellblazer #14. However, in the Prime Earth continuity, Marj first appeared as part of the New 52 DC Universe in The Hellblazer #5 by Simon Oliver and Pia Guerra.
