Mark Logan and his wife Marie Logan are the parents of Beast Boy. They were doctors on a jungle expedition when their son Garfield contracted a rare disease called Sakutia. Using an untested serum to heal their child, they accidentally gave him the super-power to transform into any animal. Eventually they would both die in a boating accident. Garfield Logan would go on to become a super-hero as part of the Doom Patrol, Teen Titans and Ravagers.
Mark Logan was created by Arnold Drake and Bruno Premiani, first appearing in Doom Patrol #100 (1965).
