History
In 1940, grade school teacher Rodney Kent invented a "Time Retarder" which he dubbed the "History Express," and used as a teaching tool. Accompanied by an orphan boy who lived at his house, young Mark Swift, Kent visited the year 940, and had an educational adventure among the Viking explorers of northern North America, and their indigenous Indian adversaries, at the end of which they returned to 1940.
