During the Cold War, Costa Marca, Marlanx, and Pangoy were part of an Allied Governments energy-source development program.
History
Not long after the end of the Second World War, Marlanx was one of three allied governments that were jointly pursuing the development of Z-20, a strategically-crucial new fuel. Pangoy and Costa Marca were the other two nations involved. The Pangoy and Costa Marca programs were fatally disrupted by masked, caped, suicidal assassins. Calculating that Marlanx would be the next target, the famous Blackhawk Squadron flew there to intervene. But they failed to foil the third assassination either, and ended up pursuing the killers to their island hideout, in the Northern Ocean, the infamous Island of Cliffs. There they confronted, fought, and killed an elderly cult leader calling himself King Murder.
