Martha Arkham-Wayne was a generous but mentally unstable philanthropist in Gotham City. Working alongside her husband Thomas Wayne to help the community, she also mothered of Bruce Wayne and instilled in him a drive to be a good person as an adult.
History
Martha Arkham's family were the founders of Arkham Asylum, and the house she grew up in during her childhood is said to be haunted. She warned Bruce as a child to stay away from that house.
Martha Arkham-Wayne was a philanthropist and active member of Gotham's community. She was assisting her husband Thomas Wayne with his campaign for Mayor of Gotham shortly before they were both killed in a mugging gone wrong.
