Martha Wayne is the wife of wealthy scientist Thomas Wayne and the mother of Bruce Wayne.
History
They resided together in Ingolstadt, Germany during the early 19th Century. One night coming home from the theater the family's horse and carriage were ambushed by a highwayman named Mr. Van Klooster, secretly working with her husband's colleague Doctor Seltsam. Thomas attempted to fight the highwayman but both parents were shot dead, leaving their young son Bruce an orphan.[1]

- This version of Bruce Wayne's mother is never directly named in-universe. However, given that both Bruce and Thomas retain their original names in Castle of the Bat, it is a safe assumption for this site's purposes that she does also.
