Synopsis for "Good Faith"

Cameron Chase broke into J'onn's and Karen's office for anything that could link the Martian to the murder of the female investigator. She took a black book with names and only needed agency support. Earlier, Martian Manhunter and Fire fought Doctor Samedi, who sunk his nails into the Martian and turned him into his zombie to use against his fellow hero. Fire used her powers to burn Martian Manhunter, as well as Samedi, saving the Martian's life.

In Rio de Janeiro, Chase asked Fire about her relationship with Martian Manhunter, leading the Brazilian superhero to melt down and rant about the Martian getting more respect than her. Fire recalled the time Martian Manhunter was asked to protect a judge from armored cartel enforcers and the Martian asking her to help him. As the two heroes fought the cartel enforcers, Fire wanted "her share" of fighting them and complained about the authorities approaching him before her. Chase asked Fire about Isobel de la Rosa and her connection with the Martian.

Fire recalled being in Montevideo with Martian Manhunter, at the ruins of Isobel de la Rosa's home, where he mourned the deaths of locals and blamed himself for their deaths. When Chase accused Fire of hating Martian Manhunter after the death of Ice, the Brazilian superhero recalled the Martian comforting her and taking the form of her late friend. Chase revealed to Fire, who believed that the former was working for a magazine, that she worked for the Department of Extranormal Operations and was investigating a murder in which the Martian was a suspect. Fire believed that she had betrayed the Martian by telling Chase about him and declared the agent her enemy.

The next day, at the D.E.O. Regional H.Q. in New York, Chase reported to Mister Bones that the black book contained names, addresses, phone numbers, and biographical information for all of Martian Manhunter's secret identities. Mister Bones believed that Martian Manhunter could use his telepathic abilities to help them discover which metahumans have secret identities and that he "might not have a choice" in helping them.
