Martin N. Somers was the president and C.E.O. of Elevast, a company specializing in construction in Star City.
History
He was responsible for forcibly and illegally evicting people from the houses standing on the proposed site for his hotels. When Joanna Pierce came to investigate his affairs, Somers hired Constantine Drakon to kill her. Despite Joanna being protected by Green Arrow, she was ultimately killed by Drakon. Enraged by his niece's death, Black Lightning confronted Somers, and hit him with a bolt, killing him instantly. In reality, Somers was killed by Deathstroke, who hit just a moment before the lightning. Deathstroke was interested to see what Pierce's reaction would have been after realizing he had murdered a human being, and chose to stay silent about his responsibility for the killing.
