Bette Kane is one of the Batgirls, a band of youngsters inspired by Batwoman.

History

Year One (1940)

Bette joins the Batgirls after seeing them protect a Jewish family from having all of their possessions stolen by a greedy landlord and realizing they're breaking into Pinkey Orphanage, an organization whose financial activities had been making her suspicious.

Upon reaching the age of eighteen she took control of Kane Industries and started an affordable housing development.
