Mary Pierson was a meteor freak working with Isis Foundation.
History
As a child Mary Pierson was infected by Green Kryptonite and gained metahuman abilities. Her parents learned this, and apparently freaked, when the young girl accidentally blew up all the lights on their Christmas tree.
Growing up, it became clear to Mary that people did not want people like her to exist. She became convinced that it was only a matter of time, before they would come after metahumans with torches and pitchforks.
Finding an ad, in a newspaper, Mary joined the Isis Foundation's support group for meteor infected youngsters. However, she could not get past the feeling that having them all in one place was a bad thing
Heading home from a meeting one night, Mary was attacked and murdered by Doomsday. The members of the support group mourned her, while her death and other murders committed by Doomsday sparked a minor witch-hunt for the meteor infected.
