Synopsis for Capt. Marvel Jr.: "Capt. Marvel, Jr. and The Disappearance of the Statue of Liberty"
Freddy Freeman is visiting Liberty Enlightening the World with Mrs. Wagner, but Sivana, Jr. has decided he's going to steal the whole statue, only to find that they've missed the last ferry out to it and this is their last day in New York City! To make things easier, Freddy calls CAPTAIN MARVEL to become Captain Marvel, Jr. and get special permission from Mayor O'Dwyer and he signs it on his stationary for him, then flies back to give the special permission note to Mrs. Wagner as Freddy again. They hurry out there to look at Lady Liberty before President Truman has a big speech at 7pm. Sivana, Jr. finds Freddy and Mrs. Wagner in the head of the Statue and clocks them with his science gun, leaving Freddy bound and gagged before he puts on a diver's helmet and unleashes a super-heavy gas that sinks the entire Liberty Island, including the Statue! Mrs. Wagner manages to slip Freddy's gag with his teeth and he calls CAPTAIN MARVEL to become Junior once more and gets her to safety. Young Thaddeus finds that his captives aren't drowned or dead and unleashes lightening gas from his Two-Way Gas Tube to float the Statue into the sky! Junior is confused more to find the Statue is physically missing and goes to tell the police, but takes Mrs. Wagner to a hotel to get dry. Thereof, he finds a note for Freddy telling him to come to 712 Dock St at 6:45pm and come by himself. Doing so, he leaves the Metropolitan Hotel and finds the address out on the Pier is a lab and has a bound printed book labeled How to Make $150,000,000 by Kidnapping the Statue of Liberty. Within, it details ransoming Lady Liberty to Americans at a dollar apiece and intercepting the Presidential broadcast to do it. Freddy quickly smashes his radio interference apparatus with his crutch, not able to hear Sivana, Jr. coming in or when he clocks him with the Two-Way Gas Tube. Minutes later, Freddy comes to bound and gagged on the ground surrounded by Bunsen burners that are going to suffocate him or blow up the building and Sivana, Jr. brags that he's going to set up another radio interference device in the captive Lady Liberty and departs to do so via a bright red helicopter.
Freddy shoves his face on to a Bunsen burner to slip his gag again and call CAPTAIN MARVEL to become Junior once more and flies in to destroy the auxiliary radio interference device. Young Thaddeus floods the Statue with the heavy gas on it to let it drop on the Big Apple… but Captain Marvel, Jr. flies it back in place and then punches into Sivana, Jr's helicopter, revealing that he emptied the gas out of it when he found it on the docks nearby. He soon lets the helicopter just drop into New York Harbor and then flies Sivana, Jr. back to prison. Later, Mrs. Wagner feels better about seeing the Statue of Liberty when she's not nearly dying and Freddy mildly asks her to just pretend it didn't happen, since no one else really noticed it was gone at that time. They soon head back to the mainland.

Trivia
- This issue either underlines (or satirizes) the strange notion that Captain Marvel, Jr. doesn't actually already live in New York City. Although, Freddy's new living situation near Main and Oak is described as being on "the other side of town."
