Synopsis for Capt. Marvel, Jr.: "The Human Dogs!"
Freddy Freeman is sitting in on some parole board meetings at Farmwood Reform School, where criminal child “Tug” is considered “too wild” to be paroled. Sivana, Jr. is soon led in with a heavy tome full of his numerous crimes and the Parole Board notes that it does seem to be larger than anyone else in the school and Freddy shows up to say he definitely didn’t learn his lesson. While being led back to his cell, Sivana, Jr. pretends to change his non-existent shoelace and then cold-cocks the single guard and Tug, interested in freedom, puts on the guard’s uniform to lead him out and he soon escapes in minutes. Junior soon calls CAPTAIN MARVEL to become Captain Marvel, Jr. to go after him.
Soon, Sivana, Jr. and Tug hide in the bushes outside as Tug complains they’re too hot to actually commit any crimes. Watching a man in a blue suit train a dog to follow a scent and then leap over a high jump and Sivana, Jr. gets the idea to train dogs to do crime! Running off to a Pet Shop, Sivana, Jr. asks a man and finds that the fastest, most agile, strongest and smartest dog out there would be a “German Police Dog” (i.e. a German Shepherd) and then blackjacks the man when he recognizes him. Later, Freddy reads in the Daily Gazette that Sivana, Jr. and Tug has stolen a dog and wonders what they could be up to. Weeks later, Sivana, Jr. has created a “Dog Transposer,” which will copy every physical trait from the German Police Dog in one cage (save for its appearance) and shoves Tug into the other cage, making him canine and servile, willing to fetch a paper with his teeth, then turns it off to free Tug of its mechanical spell. Tug points out that the police will probably notice him being on all-fours, but Young Thaddeus offers that he’s got a plan to use it on someone they know at the Van Sutton Estate’s big party that night. They soon sneak on to the grounds and brain a guest, Jerry Sloan, with a rock while he’s arriving and then transpose him in the Dog Transposer and order him to fetch the biggest diamond necklace the Van Suttons have. Sloan returns in a canine manner and bites a necklace off of Mrs. Pewter and jumps over the wall to the Estate, much to the shock of the other partygoers. Freddy soon hears about the robbery on radio news and thinks that Sivana, Jr. is probably connected to it with his dog-theft and finds that Mr. and Mrs. DeLion are holding their daughter’s engagement formal and figures that he’s going to head there, since he’s a friend of Mr. DeLion.
The next evening, Freddy is upset that he had to rent a suit as he finds fellow partygoer Jack Standish sure is acting strangely and grabs a pearl necklace off of one Miss Deek. Freddy calls CAPTAIN MARVEL to become Captain Marvel, Jr. to fly after him as Standish dog-runs to a house and turns back into Freddy to head inside and just walks directly into the Dog Transposer, which keeps Freddy from speaking. However, Young Thaddeus soon finds Dog Freddy annoying and throws a bone to chase him off and Freddy hits the right lever, removing the transposition, then calls CAPTAIN MARVEL to become Captain Marvel, Jr., who locks the door and punches the two villains into the Dog Transposer, flying off Sivana, Jr. to Reform School again, assuring Sloan and Standish that they’ll not be incriminated.

Botanist Dr. Hinkle develops an Invisibility Concoction (and an antidote for same) from some rare plants in the Indian Jungle, and tests it by the traditional method of drinking some. It works; it turns Hinkle and all his clothing invisible. He discards it. A dangerous tiger slurps up the formula from the ground, and becomes invisible, and even more dangerous. Nyoka decides that in order to see the tiger, she'll have to become invisible also. This works out, and she soon kills the invisible tiger with her invisible rifle, but some local natives mistake her for an evil spirit, and try to kill her with spears. They all head to an Assembly held by the Dean, who says that Prof. Little has managed to hide a chest of valuable coins somewhere on campus in his sleep any anyone who finds it gets a $10 reward. Ace decides he’s going to use the Dean’s favorite apple tree to try to pull a fast one on Freshman Freddy, going to drop him off a note. Freddy’s friend Bill shows him the note outside his dorm and finds that it’s “from” Dean Flotwell, who “wants” him to remove the tree but keep it to himself. Freddy is upset that he’ll have to break his date with Harriet and turns the note over to her as proof. Ace finds Harriet outside of the Chemistry Hall and asks her out (since Freddy’s busy) and she thinks on how only the Dean and Freddy should know about this. She has Ace follow her somewhere before their date while Freddy is busy digging up all the roots of the Old Apple Tree… finding Prof. Little’s coin chest! Dean Flotwell says that Freddy still has to put all the dirt back now, only for Harriet to say that Ace wants to do that himself, whispering to him that if he doesn’t, she’ll tell the Dean about his note. Freddy notes he can take Harriet to the movies and dinner with the $10 reward and Ace angrily starts shoveling dirt, finding he can’t pull a fast one on Freshman Freddy!
