Synopsis for Bulletman the Flying Detective: "The Prophetic Press!"
J Bilyus, a publisher of the Far Cry Press is punched in the face for reporting that Marc Connors, Builder of City Housing, has killed himself. He goes to call a man named Egan to start running a retraction, but somebody hits Connors in the head with a hammer and throws him out a high window to the ground below. The next morning, Alderman Coates shows up and says he thinks that he was targeted because he was also on a city housing project. Lt. Kent goes with him to see Bulletman, the Flying Detective, who dives to save him from a truck driver who nearly hits him with his truck! The newspapers have printed that Alderman Coates is also dead just before the same green truck pulls up and someone shoots Alderman Coates! Bulletman follows it to the Far Cry Press and fires through the door to find there’s no driver in the car. A worker finds Bulletman as a conveyor belt drops a load of paper on to his back. The man says that the City Editor, Egan, is down there with them, but Bulletman finds from his secretary that he’s in a meeting with Mr. Bilyus, only for Bulletman to fire through his transom and into the room. Bulletman asks about how Egan was connected to the City Housing Project and finds that Egan supported it and they worry he could be the next target! Bulletman says the killer left an initialed fountain pen in the truck and catches Egan going for his pocket to check, indicating he’s the one in charge. He pulls a gun, but it fires at Bulletman, who’s immune to bullets while wearing his Gravity-Regulator Helmet, then sprays him with a fire extinguisher to blind him for a few moments while he legs it into the elevator to escape a man who can fly. He punches him out as he arrives at the bottom and calls this “30” (the end) for him, punching him out. Later, Bulletman explains that Coates and Connors were grafting on City Housing, promising Egan a share if he kept up favor in the paper. When Coats and Connors didn’t pay up, Egan invented the fake headlines as a threat to scare them into paying, then killed them.

Synopsis for Capt. Marvel Jr.: "Capt. Marvel, Jr. Meets Uncle Marvel!"
Freddy Freeman is out to visit Shazam, Inc., a charity and help organization controlled by Billy and Mary’s “Uncle” Dudley, who occasionally dresses up as Uncle Marvel as a supportive avuncular figure with no real superpowers. Uncle Dudley soon welcomes him and shows him some huge posters and says, as usual, business is slow… until someone calls and Henry J Blair, a rich man, has been threatened and he needs help now! Freddy calls CAPTAIN MARVEL to become Captain Marvel, Jr. while Dudley changes out of his suit into Uncle Marvel. He starts to give a long speech about how much they’re going to beat them until Junior has to fly him away and they soon find Blair being attacked by his former business partner, John Moon (a man with a moon-shaped and colored face) out for unspecified revenge. Junior and Uncle Marvel arrive in to start cleaning house as Uncle Marvel falls on his rear and the goons only decide not to shoot him because John Moon points out shooting at the Marvel Family yields predictable results. They rush out, but Junior manages to lose track of them. Blair says that his other business partners are probably going to be in trouble: Robert Shaw and Peter McWhiddle. They ousted Moon from their business when they caught him embezzling and now he wants to kill them. Junior drops Uncle Marvel off at Shaw’s building to find him and goes off to find McWhiddle. A woman sunbathing is shocked to see Uncle Marvel fall into a hammock and roll out, thinking she’s had too much sun! Uncle Marvel finds the nervous Mr. Shaw and says he’s protecting him while Junior finds out that McWhiddle is out and that they used to run a hot-air balloon manufacturing business and realizes something key to this case. Uncle Marvel tries his best to protect Shaw, but John Moon knocks out his own goon by breaking a chair on him while aiming for Uncle Marvel, who stumbles over and then shoots down a lighting fixture that hits John Moon in the head, exposing his horribly regolithic face. Uncle Marvel continues smoking as he watches the goons leg it to escape out the window, but when he goes after them, he finds there’s no fire escape he was expecting and Junior has to catch him. Uncle Marvel is confused as they land on the roof and Junior explains that they just have a hot-air balloon shaped like the Moon. Uncle Marvel drags over two large potted cacti and John Moon and the Moon Goon fall out of the broken balloon and on to them. Shaw removes John Moon’s horrible moon-faced mask and finds it was actually Peter McWhiddle after all! Junior explains that the real John Moon has been on vacation the whole time and McWhiddle wasn’t in his office when he was supposed to, giving him plenty of time to dress up as John Moon to try to steal the balloon business all for himself! Back at Shazam, Inc., Junior finds that the fees from it are going straight to war bonds!
