Synopsis for Bulletman the Flying Detective: "Bulletman the Flying Detective and the Duck With the Red Ribbon!"

Lt. Kent meets with Bulletman and Bulletgirl to learn that they still haven't found the missing Wells Diamond, the most valuable one on the eastern seaboard. Meanwhile, Graves is hanging up ducks to be sold at John Carlton's Wholesale Poultry Market, but Mr. Carlton finds that there's the famous Wells Diamond in one of these ducks, one with a red ribbon tied on its leg. Graves convinces him to replace it or whoever is smuggling it will likely be listening and might kill them and offers he go tell the cops. Lt. Kent soon gets word that Carlton was shot outside of his shop and the Bullets shoot off to find him. They find that Carlton was beaten with a blunt instrument, but also that he's at a dead end street where no one could've gotten past the guards. The only other person was Mr. Graves, who didn't seem to leave and went home when he was told his boss was dead. They find a hydrant that was seemingly turned on, but that that wouldn't kill someone. The Bullets leave, confusing the cops and Bulletman looks things inside, but finds little and decides to consult Graves. Meanwhile, the killer meets with Hart, who is set to collect the diamond and admits he killed Carlton for going to the cops. Bulletgirl soon finds the Red Ribbon Duck, only for goons to shut the door closed on her, trapping her inside where they intend to let her freeze in about a half-hour. Bulletman finds Graves isn't at home and flies back to find the goons running around in terror seeing him crash in the window. Graves and Hart, the goons, try to stab him, but Graves accidentally stabs Hart in the shoulder and gets punched out by Bulletman. Bulletman hears Bulletgirl collapse in the freezer and frees her and he reasons that Graves was generally the only one around and that the Red Ribbon Duck had the diamond in it, which is why it was marked that way. Further, he figures that they killed Carlton by throwing a cake of ice on to his head from a high window, leaving severe head trauma and leaving no obvious weapon.

Synopsis for Capt. Marvel, Jr.: "Hold the King's Horses!"

The US State Department is running into issues with the Bengarian Embassy. They need to land in Bengaria in order to establish plans for a Central-European air route, but they're being held up from them signing a necessary treaty. The boorish young King Denis III of Bengaria is demanding concessions from the American Ambassador, saying he won't sign the airfield treaty unless Captain Marvel Junior flies to his country and teaches him how to have super powers, sure that being a royal, he'll innately have what it takes to be just as great as the World's Mightiest Boy. His lick-spittle yes-man, Sir Basil, agrees that it'll be done and that the Americans must respect him. The next day, the Foreign Secretary meets with Junior about having him go to Bengaria to get King Denis III to sign the airfield treaty. Sir Basil, however, is planning on ruining it so he can sell the landing rights on his own personal property. Sir Basil tells Junior that he's first expected to teach him how to have powers like him, then when told that isn't possible that he should humor the King and at least pretend. Junior insists he's not good at lying to people, but he'll try it. Junior is led in to see King Denis lifting a dumbbell and offers to “teach him how” to fly, which is just him holding on to his legs, pretending that King Denis is pulling him and not vice-versa. King Denis notes that every year, he has to hold a pageant that proves his right to rule as King by action. He leans on to a wall and it breaks down, making him think that he did it (when Junior actually did it himself.) King Denis says all he really needs to do is attend a big parade, but he's happy to think that he can do something actually impressive.

Sir Basil later tells King Denis that Captain Marvel, Jr. didn't really teach him how to use his powers and admits that he told him to humor him, prompting King Denis to exile Sir Basil. King Denis tries to fly off the parapets, only to fall and be caught by Junior. King Denis angrily banishes him from the country and orders him to leave in an hour or they cut ties with the US entirely. While flying out, he finds someone shoot a man in a blue suit. Looking over his person, Junior finds this is Sir Jason Lipp, a personal attendant to King Denis showing up for the pageant. To get around the exile, Junior returns to being Freddy and heads to the parade and soon spots “Sir Jason” with the King in armor on horseback. The King's horse suddenly bolts, sending him into the archery range. Junior topples “Sir Jason” off his horse and reveals that it's Sir Basil and he's quickly arrested. Later, Junior says he's not going to be a diplomat anymore and King Denis says he'll try to just be a good King before he starts trying to be a superhero too.
