Synopsis for Capt. Marvel, Jr.: "Capt. Marvel, Jr. and the Blue Ribbon Crime"
Freddy Freeman has dressed up Jeep the Monkey to take him to Mrs. Van Doon's Annual Pet Show at the Armory in hopes he can win a blue ribbon. Thereof, Freddy shows a Judge that Jeep can bow respectfully like a little gentleman, light a cigarette for him and they have him take him a specified spot. Everyone feels confident Freddy's charming monkey will win. However, Mrs. Van Doon only runs these Pet Shows so her pets can win them and hires two guys in an alleyway to “get rid” of Jeep for $10. She sneaks them uniforms to let him sneak in and shows them with Freddy isn't paying attention. They find Jeep is chained to a support, but they break into it with a hacksaw. They refer to him as a monkey, which upsets and angers Jeep who defeats them by running away and throwing banana peels at him. Jeep soon arms himself with a pipe and throws it at them, which Freddy notices and calls CAPTAIN MARVEL to become Captain Marvel, Jr. and catches it. He soon rescues Jeep and Mrs. Van Doon orders Jeep be thrown out, but Junior vouches that the chain was broken by someone and that he wouldn't act this way unless he were being threatened by someone. They decide to close down the Armory after the eliminations and have the finals tomorrow and tells the goons to get Jeep in the course of the night. Junior returns to being Freddy and the eliminations lead to only Mrs. Van Doon's Pekingese and Jeep, one of which whom will win the blue ribbon tomorrow. Freddy gets a bad feeling and decides to hang out with Jeep and takes a nap, only for the goons to sneak back in, blackjack him while he's asleep and dump a bound and gagged Freddy into the cellar where Mrs. Van Doon will win by default. Jeep frees his owner, but can't easily wake him, so he dumps water on his face and he calls CAPTAIN MARVEL to become Junior once more and fly Jeep into the competition again. Jeep and Junior attack the goons and they admit that they were paid to do it by Mrs. Van Doon. He arrives to show the two goons to the Judge and Captain Marvel, Jr. decides to not even press charges, since Mrs. Van Doon has already lost her grace. Junior assumes there'll be no winner, since Jeep looks disheveled from the fight, but they're amazed to see Jeep knows how to slick up and make himself look nice on his own and easily wins the blue ribbon. Later, Jeep is still happily dressed like a smart man-about-town with a blue ribbon on his chest.
