Synopsis for Capt. Marvel, Jr.: "Voyage 'Round the Horn!"

Lamont Crane is averse to finding that his grandfather’s will is legal and that, in order to get his inheritance, he has to sail the Celestial, a schooner of his around Cape Horn to beat the record he set doing so in 1878, something Lamont is not equipped to do. His Cousin offers to help him get a man who knows his ships, since the will doesn’t say that he has to captain the Celestial himself. However, he thinks to himself how he’s going to screw him over, since he gets the money otherwise.) He soon pays off a crooked sailor, Captain O’Banion, to sabotage and kill Lamont for $5,000, but the cabin boy, Eddie, falls in to the Captains’ Quarters. Captain O’Banion decides that he’ll just dump him bound and gagged into the harbor. Nearby, Eddie’s friend Freddy Freeman is looking for him and sees him fall off the Celestial and calls CAPTAIN MARVEL to save him as Captain Marvel, Jr. and Eddie explains everything about the scheme. Junior flies tot the lifeboat and calls CAPTAIN MARVEL to return to being Freddy. Captain O’Banion cruelly orders him to be starved for 1-2 days and then serve as Cabin Boy, which Lamont refuses to let him do. Capt. O’Banion insists that his word is law at sea and punches him in the head. They soon run into a big storm and Freddy calls CAPTAIN MARVEL to become Junior when the main mast snaps and finds it’s been sawed through before he fixes it. Soon, O’Banion finds the crew are working with Lamont and may be keen on getting him there on time, so he decides to not feed anyone so they don’t waste any time. Lamont also says that he doesn’t care about the money this badly and starts abusing the crew too. In the night, Freddy calls CAPTAIN MARVEL and becomes Junior again to air-drop food for them all on deck. Later, Freddy hears Capt. O’Banion opening the sea cock, which will scuttle the ship and calls CAPTAIN MARVEL to punch him to let him go down with the ship, then shuts the sea cock again. The crew agree with Junior to work together with Lamont and break the record and they all vote to make Junior the Captain of the Celestial. Later, they manage to break the record, Capt. O’Banion is arrested as well as Lamont’s Evil Cousin and Lamont gives a bonus to each member of the crew!
