Quote1 What a pity. You are undoubtedly of Asian descent-- Yet you think a samurai careless enough to leave his flank unprotected? There is, perhaps, too white a tint to your lineage? Quote2
Master Hand src

Master Hand was an Asian-supremacist terrorist who styled himself in the manner of a samurai.

Master Hand was born deformed, presumably due to the fallout of the atomic bombs over Hiroshima and Nagasaki, such that he had no hands. The government of Japan provided him with a pair of prosthetic metal hooks with which he could perform simple tasks and placed him in an unsatisfying civil service job as an adult. Knowing that his ancestors came from a lineage of samurai, Hand chafed in a world of increasing materialism, cosmopolitanism, and consumerism, longing for the traditional ways and values of his nation which he felt had been robbed from him by the influence of the Western world, like his hands had been. Wearing traditional samurai armor and having replaced one of his metal hook-hands with a katana, Master Hand led a small army of mercenaries in taking over the PS38 public school building in New York City, releasing most of the hostages over a period of time, except for teacher Iris Jacobs and her class. Hand gave the United States of America an ultimatum, to sever commercial ties with all countries which constitute "the Orient," or innocents would die. Time-displaced Legionnaire Karate Kid used a helicopter to land on the roof of the building, explicitly defying an injunction by the New York City Police Department not to interfere, and fought Hand for the safety of Iris and the children in her class. Hand was ultimately defeated and attempted to preserve his honor by committing seppuku, but Karate Kid shattered his katana with a well-placed kick, denying him that release. Master Hand and his men were then arrested by the NYPD.
