Matrix was a protoplasmic entity who acted as Supergirl after Kara Zor-El's death at the hands of the Anti-Monitor.
History
Matrix was Supergirl during the Death and Return of Superman and fought in the battle against the Cyborg Superman.[1]

- Matrix was created by John Byrne, first appearing in Superman (Volume 2) #16. However, Matrix first appeared as part of Prime Earth continuity in The Return of Superman 30th Anniversary Special #1 by Dan Jurgens.
- Matrix came from Earth-23/Pocket Universe, like her Pre-Flashpoint counterpart.[2]
