The Matrix Disruptor is a weapon used by the Dominators to deal with the Swamp Thing and other elementals.
History
Shortly before the Alien Alliance invasion of Earth, the Dominators reformed and weaponized the vegetation of four planets outside the Solar System,each planet equipped with a plant computer or bio-circuits capable of gathering their energies and send it towards Earth. Their plan was overload Swamp Thing 's senses with these energies forcing him to escape in his astral form into space and trap in this form,so he doesn't return to Earth and use his powers to control their plant-based technology.
Capabilities
The Matrix Disruptor is composed of a complex network of plant-based computers and circuits capable to gather energy from a planet and distort it into something negative,and send that negative energy in subatomic particles to overwhelm an enemy. The device is also capable of containing the astral form of a being and prevent it from connecting to any wavelength of Eletromagnetic Spectrum [1].
