Mauri the Siren is the Oceanic goddess of love.
History
With the return of the gods of ancient Oceania every millennium, the deities who sought to impose their dominance over humanity entered into combat with the Justice League, but Mauri was the only one who initially stayed away from the conflict.[2]
When the Oceanic gods were commanded by their leader Tangora to fall asleep at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean, Mauri escaped without anyone noticing and planned to spread her influence over love throughout the world. But to not be stopped by the Justice League, who she saw defeat her brothers and blames them for being alone in the world without her loved ones now asleep again, she decided to strike first, sending her army of love composed only of mind-controlled men under her power.[1]
Mauri's power is so impressive that she was able to dominate the mind of even Green Lantern, known for his great willpower, and also the other male members of the Justice League, whom she forced to face the female members, since her seductive power does not work on females. Her control was only overcome by Superman when he was forced to attack his cousin Supergirl, but the conflict between the false love forced on him by Mauri and the true love as a cousin for Kara broke her mental control. Afterwards, the two of them used their super-hypnosis to free the minds of their male colleagues and, reunited with the women, were able to defeat the goddess of love, causing her to fall asleep along with her brothers at the bottom of the sea.[1]
Mauri and her brothers can merge into a giant of colossal power known as the Fiend With Five Faces.[2]
