- The Mawzir was created by Garth Ennis and John McCrea, first appearing in Hitman #1. However, in the Prime Earth continuity, The Mawzir first appeared as part of the New 52 DC Universe in Midnighter and Apollo #1 by Steve Orlando and Fernando Blanco.
