Maxine Hunkel, also known as Cyclone, is the grand-daughter of Ma Hunkel, the original Red Tornado. She first appeared in the Kingdom Come universe as Red Tornado. Wind manipulation powers allow her to create dangerous storms and air constructs. These powers stem from a nanobyte infection given to her by supervillain T.O. Morrow. She has been a member of the Justice Society of America.
Maxine Hunkel was created by Mark Waid and Alex Ross, first appearing in Kingdom Come #2 (1996). Her New Earth version was created by Geoff Johns and Dale Eaglesham, first appearing in Justice Society of America (Volume 3) #1 (2007).
