Maxwell "Max" Lord is a powerful and charismatic industrialist and philanthropist from National City. He has acted as both an enemy of and ally to Supergirl in her first year as National City's protector.
History
Lord's parents were virologists working for the government, who were killed when their lab was contaminated. It caused Lord to distrust the government. He is also distrustful of Supergirl, and has taken actions to gauge her abilities.
