Meeka is the commander of the Xebelian Liberation Front, a Xebelian dissident group. She is the widow of Ellec Inaego and "second mother" of his daughter Delilah.
History
When peaceful protest failed to stop the conscription of children into the Xebelian Guard; Lucia, Meeka and others turned to violence. Lucia committed the first murder, executing the commander of a squad of Guardsmen who fired on a protest, but Meeka killed many more. The Guard briefly ended conscription but quickly reintroduced it. Lucia left Xebel and Meeka married Ellec, blaming Lucia for all the murders she had committed. After Ellec's death, Meeka raised Delilah, and was careful to ensure that the girl grew up to see her as a loving mother figure and resent Lucia.[1][2]
Delilah asked Meeka to bring her brother Jackson Hyde to Xebel to help with the resistance. Meeka agreed and the Front framed Jackson for a bombing in Atlantis.[3] Jackson went on the run but Delilah tracked him to Titans Tower West. Lucia also followed them to the Tower and the two of them agreed to return to Xebel with her.[4]
Members of the Front captured Lucia and Jackson and took them to Meeka's headquarters. Meeka told Jackson about Lucia's history as a terrorist and showed him a montage of faked images depicting Lucia committing Meeka's murders.[1] Lucia told Meeka that her lies would eventually collapse and apparently left Xebel, but in fact she remained and infiltrated the Front's headquarters. Meekka and her men discovered Lucia downloading information from their computer and tried to stop her, but Lucia escaped with the Front's plans to attack the reunification conference between Xebel and Atlantis.[2]
