Mephisto Saturno was a spy for the Emperor of Saturn.
History
In 1944, while Earth's great nations were preoccupied with waging world-wide war on one another, the Emperor of Saturn dispatched a team of agents, led by Count Mephisto Saturno, to Earth, to perform espionage in advance of an interplanetary invasion. He had the captain Saturnette and the slaver Eviless serving as part of his team. The invasion was disrupted by Wonder Woman, who then resolved the crisis by negotiating a trade agreement between Saturn and Earth.
