Mercury is the messenger of the Roman gods and the god of commerce, eloquence, travelers, trickery,[1] and thieves.

- Godly Physiology
- Cosmic Awareness: Mercury, like all Old Gods, is aware of the multiverse and the realms that lie beyond. This knowledge gives him an understanding of the universe and all life that transcends the capabilities of normal mortals.[2]
- Dimensional Travel: Mercury can travel between the realms, as when he went to the Underworld to fetch water from the River Lethe.[3]
- Immortality
- Power Distribution: Mercury imparts the gift of speed to the various members of the Shazam Family.[4]
