Mermaids, also known as Merpeople, are quasi-humanoid marine lifeforms that sometimes demonstrate amphibious characteristics. They are from Atlantis. The Flashpoint Timeline introduced Nina Mazursky, the daughter of Dr. Myron Mazursky and a member of the Creature Commandos. Mermaid was created by Jeff Lemire and Ibraim Roberson, first appearing in Flashpoint: Frankenstein and the Creatures of the Unknown #1. (2011)
