    • Noman is her AlienRace, not Citizenship.
    • Affiliation is for groups or persons she is affiliated with, not for people who aid her like Pneumenoid.
    • Powers need Powers Templates.
    • Alien Physiology is only needed if it's the source of powers.

    • Yep I get it I understand, I will try to get it right for the next one I create. Thanks for adding the image as well.

    • It's not that Tupka has an issue with you contributing stuff, it's that he wants you to do it right.

In the case of "borrowing" text from other sites.... it inevitably gets rewritten anyways. might as well do it now.

    1. Do not copy text from other sites like ComicVine.
    2. See below: provide sources when you add powers sections.

I dare say we could call this your last warning.

    • Ok I will stop, sorry. Their is hardly any information on this wiki, you try and click on a link and their is no information on that page just a picture. So just trying to help but I will leave it now and use other sites to learn more about DC comics, which I think is a shame.

      • We can't use stuff other sites use, especially not without crediting them. They wrote that text, and they do not have the same license as Wikia.
      • It would only be a shame if we had the similar text as other sites.
      • You're free to research something yourself. Who's Who and Secret Files and Origins provide a good source to start a writeup.

  • I already went through this with one user, please try to understand that although these Legion characters seem the same they aren't in certain cases.

Copy and pasting at all, in any manner, even from our own articles is wrong. Please do not go through another character and follow down the line of seeing similarities and pasting from what looks to be a completed article.

As always, provide sources especially when the original article you ripped from hardly contains any.

    • Also remember to use correct capitalization when you enter wrong terms.

        Loading editor
    • Ok I only took info that was the same with each specific universe, but I will stop. Sorry.

        Loading editor
    • Regardless, some of it like being a Legionnaire as an occupation can be entered through the articles but treat them as individuals especially considering many have met their counterparts.

That was the subjective answer. The objective answer is taking seemingly similar information is something I've already had to get on one user's case about don't be the second.

      All clear aside from that.

        Loading editor
    • Yeah again sorry, I will try to be more careful.

  • Hey Booster. Screenshot isn't a source. You'll want to add whatever issue this came from to that spot on the image template instead.

  • Height and weight can change from each character to another. You cannot assume because one character weighs a certain amount that the different earth versions will weigh the same. Furthermore, it's possible to source directly on the infobox as well as in the trivia or note section please do so with numerical edits.

Example: Shinking Violet weighs xxx lbs on New Earth. You can source whatever book you got that from in her notes sections at the bottom of the page.

Without doing so or letting us know what source you plucked that from that edit will be undone.

  • Hello!

Thank you for uploading new content to the DC Database project!

We have lots of images in our database, 134,044 in fact, and in order to keep them organized we use a system of naming, categories and licensing added to each.

    1. Please review our Naming Conventions for Images. Images are categorized by name, so a descriptive name rather than a string of numbers is important.
      1. As a guide, look what other images in a character's gallery are called, and continue with the same name and number. If you upload a first image of a character, use "[Name] [Universe] 001". Do not use parentheses, or the full pagename. Ignore the Universe designation if it is a New Earth character.
      2. Issue covers should be given at least the title of the series, the volume and the number. A name similar to the issue is preferred: "Title Vol 1 1". Textless covers should be called "Title Vol 1 1 Textless". Files that do not indicate the issue number will be deleted.
    2. Images should be no less than 300px wide, unless no bigger image is available.
    3. Add the Image Template to the images you upload. This is mandatory. Fill it in as detailed here, or below.
    4. Selecting the proper license is vital to properly maintaining our images. Please choose the license which best describes the image you are uploading. The most commonly used are 'Comic Single Panel' and 'Comic Cover', respectively.
    5. Other fields that should be filled in: Issue, Subject1, Artist. Add Source if you've taken it from a different site. If you've taken it from a different site and don't know the issue, DO NOT UPLOAD IT.

For a more in-depth guide, see Help:Image Template Hub. In addition, please take a moment to review our policies page and more specifically our image policy.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask them in reply to this post and our admins will explain how you can improve for next time.

    • Midoki, you could wait a bit.He added info 8 minutes after uploading. It can happen; I know I've done it. Booster's been pretty consistent in his uploads, I don't think this response is entirely justified.

    • You're right I could've waited but when we've got to pay extra attention to a user who's had multiple admins try to tell him what to do then I've got to make sure he's on his game.

These are simple things to do and I did jump down Booster's throat too quickly but not without reason. Next time bring this up on my talk page.

  • I see you're creating a lot of new character pages. It would be good if you could use a little more restraint in deciding which characters need new pages. If a character deserves a new page, there will be enough information in the comics to fill out all of the information in the template. If you can't fill out the template with the information you have, don't create a new page.

    • When you created pages for the Gas Gang, you copy pasted the templates of the Robots of Terror. You listed an incorrect first appearance for Uranium and Agantha. When you copy pasted the Assassins, you listed every one of them as having a proficiency in firearms and as a Batman villain. Several of the characters you created, such as Jonah, weren't even members of the League. The Heretic did not appear in Batman: The Return. For Superman vs. the Elite, you listed everyone as single - even Pa Kent. You neglected to add simple things such as gender, nationality and hair color. I could go on.

This is not "we all make mistakes" - this is blind copy pasting, poor research, and no effort. The "group effort" of a wiki is not "someone else will clean up my mess".

    • Ok, well no matter what I say I will be in the wrong in this situation, so I will humbly apologise for again only trying to help.

  • If you want to move a page, add {{Move}} to the page. What you're doing, copying content from one page to the other, destroys the page history.

  • "Somewhere in England" is not a birthplace. Your edits require sources; that means you have to tell us where you got your information or it's open to be deleted or undone. When you edit powers and abilities please include the categories in the categorical section.
