  • Unlike person pics, drawn pics, especially when they're from comics, need to be sourced. i'm referring to this; we don't know if that's from a DC comic. If it's not, we shouldn't be using it. If it is, it should be sourced with an issue.

    • That WAS sourced. And I see you deleted it. I have used a Steve Mitchell drawing at Marvel wikia (http://marvel.wikia.com/Steve_Mitchell) that came from a DC comic. Besides... why does it it matter if the DC staff image does not come from a DC comic??

    • And a more courteous tone would not hurt either.

    • It needs a primary source. Not ComicVine, a site notorious for not including sources on their images.

A photograph trumps a drawn image with no source. No image also trumps a drawn image with no source.

  • DC Staff images have the License "Fair Use".

  • We had an issue a little while ago where a DC staff member got into an edit war with you over the details of her own life.

I can understand why you might not believe that someone claiming to be a staff member is a staff member, but for the most part, that usually is the case.

In the future, if someone claims to be a staff member and changes one of your edits, you can probably take them at their word. If you don't agree with them, or they don't seem to understand how the Staff Template works, contact an administrator, and we will explain things to them.

Oh, and don't get into edit wars as a general rule...

Keep up the good work, and try to make sure that the information you add to those pages is as accurate as possible. We have had a few issues with staff members feeling that the information on their page was too invasive or inaccurate, and as far as we're concerned, we want to keep on their good side.

    • This is my sole edit --- http://dc.wikia.com/wiki/Lisa_Aufenanger?diff=prev&oldid=1080402 ---- I was putting the correct information in its proper place. I think there was a misunderstanding of what the Title field is. I did not change the Employer. But whatever. Speaking in general now, all the information I add is checked. Thanks.  :)

    • I know it was a misunderstanding. I left her a message to explain what happened. I was just warning you that if something like that happens again, just be careful about it and notify an administrator so that we can resolve it without much bloodshed :P

    • No problemo :)

  • while you're editing staff pages, if you could check the employer field for uses of square brackets, and get rid of them, that would be a help. Two publishers should be separated by a semi-colon, like "Marvel Comics; DC Comics".

I'm asking because you're doing a lot of Staff edits, and you might as well check for that while you're there. Thanks :)

    Keep up the good work.

  • You know that not everything that appears in a comic issue needs linked right? I doubt the "ghosts of ancient thieves of Lankhmar" from Sword of Sorcery Vol 1 2 will ever need a page. You can just put unimportant things in regular text without the wiki markup if it isn't deserving of its own page. Just thought I'd let you know that's ok.
