I have no idea. It was listed as Ember II on the page beforehand, and I was trying to follow what it had. I was following what was already there, wasn't sure if someone else has the name Ember in the universe, even as an alias.
Could be moved if I was wrong, but I was just going off of what I saw.
I noticed you edited the page of Secret Six #4, so I was wondering how do we know Starling appeared in the issue? I am guessing you were referring to the brunette girl in pink, who was with the Riddler, but I don't recall her being named. Did I missed something? I hope I did because I've been dying to see her return since she left BoP!!
I got it from a combination of looking at it (yes, it's that one you said) and some comments I've read around that reminded me. Here's the summary.
1. When Nigma proposes the idea of a bird-themed codename to go with his Mockingbird identity's female sidekick in the vein of Harley Quinn to the Joker, the brunette girl doesn't say no. If anything, she looks amused. This seems to indicate that she's amused because she already has one.
2. Her comment about how "you people" tend to have a "moll fetish" seems very in character for Ms. Crawford.
There's also meta reasons, such as how Gail Simone wanted to write BoP, but that's less important.
Again, I can be wrong, but it seems heavily implied that it's her.
You definitely have a point and I hope you are right. You probably know that but I also read that Simone has been a fan of Starling since the character's debut and has said in the past that she would like to use her at some point. Moreover she has confirmed that Ev was in the shortlist for the main roster of this series before being replaced by Black Alice and there is also that: http://www.bleedingcool.com/2015/07/27/gail-simone-returning-to-birds-of-prey/
Could this be something for Secret Six, involving Starling?
Sadly, I've never read it, only in the wiki here (and got info on the origins that way too, for the record). The good news is there's only one trade out (that I know of) so if you do check it out, it's just a few issues available that way.
I just read it again. The characters all appear in solicits for Convergence, and Jay/Alan appear on the cover of Earth 2: Society. Wait until we see their death/reappearance in panel before marking them dead.
