1. We generally don't make pages so far in advance of a comic's release.
2. When filling out the month field, use the cover date. So, comics published in May would have a 7 (or July) in the month field.
Hi. I see you figured out Cover2Artist. Just a note, however: the artists need to be credited separately. If Variant A was made by PencilerA and InkerA, they're Cover2Artist1 and Cover2Artist2. Variant B, by ArtistB, would be Cover3Artist1, and Variant C, by PencilerC and InkerC, Cover4Artist1 and Cover4Artist2. They're not all Cover2Artist.
Also, in the cover gallery dropdown, they need to be credited with Penciler names rather than generic "Variant A".
Yes, haha, I did! It's all a bit convoluted but it makes sense once you understand it! I understand what you're saying 100%, but the source that I had seemed to say that all three of the individuals worked on both variants, hence my edit.
Also, Variant covers need the image type "Variant" rather than cover art. Only textless covers require Subjects - dressed covers use "None". And only credit those cover artists that actually created that cover.
For licensed properties, use the Universe field to indicate the franchise. For example, for an image of Shaggy and Velma, the universe would be "Scooby-Doo". For Bugs Bunny and Porky Pig, the universe would be "Looney Tunes" - but because we don't have pages for Bugs Bunny and Porky Pig (because they don't belong to DC), we put "none" in the subject field.
Thank you for uploading new content to the DC Database project!
We have lots of images in our database, 140,256 in fact, and in order to keep them organized we use a system of naming, categories and licensing added to each.
Please review our Naming Conventions for Images. Images are categorized by name, so a descriptive name rather than a string of numbers is important.
As a guide, look what other images in a character's gallery are called, and continue with the same name and number. If you upload a first image of a character, use "[Name] [Universe] 001". Do not use parentheses, or the full pagename. Ignore the Universe designation if it is a New Earth character.
Issue covers should be given at least the title of the series, the volume and the number. A name similar to the issue is preferred: "Title Vol 1 1". Textless covers should be called "Title Vol 1 1 Textless". Files that do not indicate the issue number will be deleted.
Images should be no less than 300px wide, unless no bigger image is available.
Add the Image Template to the images you upload. This is mandatory. Fill it in as detailed here, or below.
Selecting the proper license is vital to properly maintaining our images. Please choose the license which best describes the image you are uploading. The most commonly used are 'Comic Single Panel' and 'Comic Cover', respectively.
Other fields that should be filled in: Issue, Subject1, Artist. Add Source if you've taken it from a different site. If you've taken it from a different site and don't know the issue, DO NOT UPLOAD IT.
