  • Just a question, why do you insist on that image? The prime image should display as much of the character as possible, not a slumped down grey and black mess...

    • Sorry, it took me a bit to realize you were intentionally changing it from that image (it seemed like my picture hadn't uploaded for a bit there, and I got confused). I'd thought the image of him mourning was representative of his character, but I saw your message about showing more of the costume, and you were right.

  • Wait, wait. Just the ones that have appeared or have been mentioned as Earth 38 need that for now.

  • Noticed a few things about how you are filling out the image template that aren't quite right. Using File:Earth_36.png as an example...

    • It isn't a Location image, it's a Team image. A Location image would show the actual location.
    • "Promo Material", regardless of the template docs, is not a valid image type. It is, however, a valid License.
    • If you are pulling the image from a website and it is only available from that site, the url for the page needs to go in the Source field.

    • Hi,

      Regarding these:

They are not images of locations. They are images of characters or teams.

    • Byfield, Tupka told me to use Location Image for any image coming out of the Guidebook (because they're going to be used for their respective pages. In some cases, it may be the only image we have of that universe.).

Also, a couple of things to add to Byfield:

      • You should still add the inker of the image (even if it is the same as the penciller).
      • Use the {{F|...}} template for the Description part. This part also does not get a universe designation; Superman (Earth 33) has a description of {{F|Superman}}
      • If you add the image description as a team, add the team as an Image Subject.

  • There's two things to consider:

    • It can easily go in the Notes section of the page; adding it to the history makes the page a bit messy.
    • If the info is taken from an official DC statement, then you should add a citation, a source, or at least a brief explanation in the Edit Summary that points out where are you getting all of it.

I undid the Prime Earth one for these reasons:

    • Out of universe context. The sentence If you read DC Comics... makes it out of universe. And that's why we don't usually copy from other websites; even DC's offical.
    • Earth-0 is for DC what Prime Earth is for us. Is a complicated matter, but the admins and most users agreed on that naming.
    • You can put it back in the Notes section clearing out that it is an Official DC Comics Statement

In fact, it would be good if you change all of them in that way.

  • Hi, I noticed you edited the Bruce Wayne (Terra Occulta) page. It is mostly correct, except for the history section. The problem with it is that you wrote a lot of info without sourcing any comic. We need to source that kind of information. I suggest you add the citations, or otherwise, the edit might be deleted.

The citation reference can be added at the end of a paragraph inserting the following: <ref>[[Comic #1]]</ref>. Instead of "Comic #1", you insert the comic from which you take the info.

  • With Kal-El (Terra Occulta)... While {{Kryptonian Physiology}} may not be valid, adding powers and skills is done using the templates found here and here.

{{Journalism}} is valid. What you changed it to is not.

  • Not really, but I want to make an etiquette note.

I know it's a wiki, but it is fair practice to add to pages that are missing information, but not to change information that is already on a page.

If you think you have a page-quote that suits the article better than the one that's already on it, you should bring it up on the talk page (unless it happens to be a very poor quote).

And - on a personal note: I write a lot of the plot synopses on this wiki. I am pretty meticulous about it. If you change one of them significantly, I will try not to let my gut reaction of "who do these interlopers think they are?!" influence me as I check to make sure the edits are good - but I make no promises.

      I appreciate your work.

  • Hi. Good job on the All-Star Superman quotes. Small janitorial note, though: the quote source should be the page name, so "All-Star Superman Vol 1 6", instead of the shorter "All-Star Superman #6". Otherwise, the [src] link doesn't work right.
